Services will be held Monday, April 18, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 8301 NW Aurora Ave. in Urbandale, IA with visitation one hour prior. The service will be livestreamed. Burial will follow at Sunny Hill Cemetery in Grimes, IA.

Bob was born July 4, 1940 to Grace (Rittgers) and Herbert Kuefner. He spent his career in the finance industry including Capital City Bank and Brenton Bank. In his free time, Bob was active in his investment club, golf, and was a member of the Greater Des Moines Bowling Association, Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, and a former member of Mt. Charles C. Corwin, 76, passed away Monday, June 19, 2017 surrounded by family and dear friends. A friend said it best, “he admired and appreciated people of all walks of life and set the example of what all of us hope our legacy will someday be.” He devoted his life to service to others and touched many lives.

Visitation will be held Friday, June 23, 2017 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, IA. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 24 at 11:00 am at Central Presbyterian Church, 3829 Grand Avenue in Des Moines.

Carolyn Manbeck McLaughlin, 79, passed away July 7, 2021 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, IA. She was born on August 27, 1941 to Earl and Betty Manbeck in Des Moines, IA.

Carolyn graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1959. In 1962, she married Robert A. McLaughlin. Carolyn spent her life in Des Moines, Spencer and Sarasota, Florida.

Kenneth Alvin Drews, 80, of Delray Beach Florida died Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at the Delray Medical Center.

Ken was born on May 25,1940, in Jackson, Tennessee to Alvin and Margaret Drews. He and his parents remained in Jackson until 1946 when they moved to Des Moines Iowa where his father worked for the Des Moines Register.

In Des Moines Ken later attended Franklin Junior High School and Theodore Roosevelt High School where he played on their very successful and celebrated football team. After graduation in 1959 he attended Drake University for two years before he enlisted in the Army in January of 1962.

Dan passed away on May 3, 2018, under hospice care in Lincoln County, North Carolina of Parkinson’s disease and dementia.

He was born in Perry, Iowa on February 7, 1941, to the late Clifford and Claire Grimm and lived there until moving with his family to Des Moines where he attended Roosevelt High School. He received an athletic scholarship to the University of Colorado where he played football for four years. Donna Jean (Butler) Menken went peacefully to Heaven on Saturday, November 19, 2022.

She was the eldest daughter of Don and Doris (Devol) Butler. Donna called Des Moines, Iowa her hometown. She graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in 1959 and attended Iowa State Teachers College (now University of Northern Iowa) where she met, and then married, Don Menken in 1961. They moved, with their young children, Deanne and Dennis, to "beautiful northeast Iowa" and Donna resided in Elkader for 33 years.
